In Which Gail Births a New Blog: Retro Rack

My dear Gentle Readers, Retro Rack is Alive!

We have two entries for this, the little blogipoo’s maiden voyage. One represents the typical style I intend for the posts, the other is the blog’s manifesto. I am indebted to J. Daniel Sawyer who took the photo I adapted for the banner.

Answers to anticipated questions.

  • No, I will not be running a back up on LiveJournal. I understand this will alienate some of you. I do apologize. LJ is having some serious spamming issues and I am unwilling to coddle them with any additional business. (Yes I have taken all necessary precautions.) Also their image handler is a pain. I have tried to syndicate the new blog in to LJ here, but this may take a while to work, or never, depending on how LJ feels about it.
  • Twice a week, at most. That’s how frequently the other blog with drop, probably on Tuesdays and Thursdays, perhaps on other days. No it shouldn’t effect the frequency of this blog. The only thing likely to effect frequency is travel and lack of content.
  • Image heavy.
  • Yes there will be contests. I get sick of my wardrobe upon occasion and now, instead of consigning or thrifting my unwanted garments and accessories, I will end up giving them away on the blog.

“…what I feel we ought to do at this juncture is to dash off somewhere where it’s quiet and there aren’t so many houses dancing the ‘Blue Danube’ and shove some tea into ourselves.”
