Where Has Gail Been Lately?

Well, Gentle Reader, I snuck off to LA for a weekend. I do this occasionally this time of year. The AB and I love us some stand up and podcasts and so we take our one vacation weekend each year to go down during the off season and enjoy.

We visited Nerd Mecca for one of the last live Meltdowns. Our first and our last, I guess. It was very fun. I also got to see my much beloved author friend Matt and his lovely lady Nikki.

Then we nipped over to UCB for another night of standup. Then it was all about LA Podfest which opened with one of my all time favorite podcasts, Doughboys. If you listen to the DQ episode you will hear me ask a question at the end.

So that’s what I’ve been up to. Now back to your regularly scheduled Gail.

{Gail’s monthly read along for October is The Black Swan by Mercedes Lackey.}

  • Romancing the Werewolf ~ A Supernatural Society Novella
    Status: Outline.
    LBGTQ reunion romance featuring your favorite reluctant werewolf dandy, the return of a certain quietly efficient Beta, and a very unexpected gift.
  • Secret Project SAS ~ Novella? Novel? Who knows.
    Status: Rough draft.
    Something new and different for Gail, contemporary m/m paranormal romance between a snarky mage and a gruff werewolf. Hella raunchy. Super dirty. Very very fun. Spin off of Marine Biology.

Book News:

Ramblings and Musings says of the Custard Protocol series: “It always is a challenge for authors to write spin-offs from much-loved series and make it as successful as the first one. But I think Ms. Carriger just did this and more.”

Quote of the Day:

“I think I did pretty well, considering I started out with nothing but a bunch of blank paper.”
~ Steve Martin
