Did You Know Gail Has A YouTube Channel? Video Q&A About Romancing the Inventor

Hello my dear Gentle Reader! I have a YouTube channel.

I have, actually had a YouTube channel for a really long time, I just haven’t gotten into it much.

However, Kelly and I have figured out how to take the Facebook Live videos I’ve been doing and upload them to YouTube. Well, Kelly has. So you can now subscribe to the channel and get them there.

No promises on getting them up in a timely manner. If you want to participate in the Q&A and get the info right away, you’ll still have to tune in live. But at least for those of you who really intensely dislike the whole FB experience (yes, I get it) there is now a low barrier to entry way to see the videos.

Subscribe and like, if you would. And I promise I’ll keep doing them there.

{Gail’s monthly read along for December is Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins.}

“I think the first duty of all art, including fiction of any kind, is to entertain. That is to say, to hold interest. No matter how worthy the message of something, if it’s dull, you’re just not communicating.”

“Imprudence is a wonderful second entry in the series, even stronger than the first. I loved it and am sure fans of Prudence will love it as well.”

Quote of the Day:

    Can Kelly explain how to transfer fb live videos? I need to do this

      Sorry Roo Barb for the late reply! I actually had to sit down and figure out how to explain this in a step by step process!

      It was something I should do anyway – should something happen to me and Gail is left without my strange set of skills that I’ve acquired for her.

      Ok, so here’s the thing: I pull videos from Gail’s author page and the fan group that she is a moderator for. The steps may be a little different if you’re pulling them from a personal FB page.

      The first thing you do, regardless, is find the video library for the source you’re pulling from. On the fan group, it is very easy: there’s a tab to the left that says “videos.” On the author page she runs, I have to find it in her Publishing Insights.

      On the fan group is the easiest: I find the video I want, I play it. When I hover my mouse over the video, a set of options appears in the bottom right hand corner. I click the first option, which is “options.” There, it gives you the choice to download in either SD (standard definition) or HD (high definition). Sometimes, HD is just not a viable option and you have to do it in SD.

      Pulling from the author page, I first have to click the video I want. Then I click on the post the video is in. From that screen, I again have to click over to “post” once more. From there, it’s just like above: I play the video, click options, click download.

      I hope that this helps and/or makes sense! I did google how to do this, but some of the responses were not helpful. I had to piece this together from various sources, because (as you may have noticed) FB updates and changes things from time to time.

      This is the process I’m using as of this posting, but it may have to change in the future if FB changes anything on their end.
