AnomolyCon, Ho!

I will be flying off to AnomalyCon in Denver, CO soon.

Billed as “Denver’s best Alternate History, Science Fiction, and Steampunk convention!” it runs from March 29 – 31 and here are my Programming items.

8:00pm to 8:30pm
Bar Side Area
I’ll be reading from Curtsies & Conspiracies. So be excited, be very very excited!

If there’s something interesting going on Friday night, I’ll go to that, otherwise you’ll probably be able to catch me at the bar after the reading at least for a bit.

Panel: Writing Professionally
12:00pm to 1:00pm
Writing Room I (Teal)
with Peter J Wacks, Quincy Allen, SJ Chambers

Author Free For All
3:00pm to 4:00pm
Main Event Room
I’ve not idea what we are doing, a game of whist perhaps?

Book Signing (off the record)
4:30pm to 5:00pm
Hotel Bar Fireside
Programming didn’t give me a signing time so I’ll be hanging out by the bar, talking to myself. If any of my lovely readers would care to join me, I’ll be happy to talk to them instead, and sign books of course. If there is already an event in this area, I’ll be in the bar itself.

David Boop Interviews SJ Chambers and Self
6:00pm to 7:00pm
Main Event Room

Panel: Character Building
10:00pm to 11:00pm
Writing Room I (Teal)

As you can see I have a very busy Saturday with almost no free time (particularly with my chronic food consumption habit). I apologize now if I can’t linger and chat. I also probably won’t make any parties on Saturday night since that last panel abuts my bedtime.

Panel: Writing Your First Novel
11:00am to 12:00pm
Writing Room I (Teal)
with Matt Bronson

Grand Tea
1:00pm to 2:00pm
Main Event Room
music by Echoes of Orpheus
Tickets required ahead of time, and website says it’s already sold out.

Silly me, I only yesterday realized that it was a steampunk convention. For some reason I thought is was a regular SF/F convention and my glance over my programming items did not illuminate matters to the contrary.

My only excuse must be that I have been in a writing fog. However, it does mean that I have to repack. I can’t travel carry on only for steampunk. I will have to check luggage, which is always a pain. Must dash off to better plan the whole endeavor. Meep!
