San Leandro Library & Keplers Events Report

This last Saturday I was at the San Leandro Library for an afternoon event and then Kepler’s Books in Menlo Park with the wonderful Suzanne Lazear for an evening event. There was a modest turn out at each, perhaps around 20 people or so. I had a fun time regalling all with silly stories and talking about secret projects, the book industry, steampunk, cover art, and everything in between.

If you are intrigued by my crazy pink and black outfit, I have a whole blog post on the subject over on Retro Rack.

I hope everyone has a great time at New York Comic Con (without me, sadness). It seems to have been a busy weekend for all out there in literary land.

I’m sorry to not have a more exciting blog post for you today. I’ve been recovering from some minor surgery recently and the events on Saturday rather tapped my reserves.

Now I must begin to prep myself for . . . book launch! Come on Seattle, let’s see if you can give California a run for its money.

Quote of the Day:

Queen Victoria: Why did you do it? So stupid, why did you do it?
Prince Albert: I had two very good reasons. First, I am replaceable and you are not.
Queen Victoria: You are not replaceable to me!
Prince Albert: Secondly, you’re the only wife I’ve got or ever will have. You are my whole existence, and I will love you until my very last breath.

Two of my favorite authors together in one place? I wish I could have been there to ask you both to sign the books I have, and to ask you to keep writing them, so we (the fans) can keep reading them. 🙂

Ha! And maybe we can both be looking at the same birdy next time! There are a few photos of the floor too–I guess my friend is more accustomed to camera phones. Thanks for being your lovely self!
