The Crudrat Wrap Party (Tinkered Stars event)

The Crudrat Wrap party was a great success! We had so much food the table was quite groaning.

And this was just the start!

The weather cooperated resulting in a lovely turn out, there was standing room only (literally, there were no chairs). I talked all about how the book got started and my inspiration, and Dan talked about how he got the audio books and Kickstarter going.

Then we called up the voice talent to stand with us, and people asked questions about the project and my books. The voice talent complained about my tongue twisters in the book and short stories. I talked about my love of language and silly names.

It was lots of fun. Dan recorded the whole thing and if the sound quality is OK he will include some of it on the blooper reels.

One young lady (friends with an Australian backer) took a picture of the voice talent all standing together, I’d love a copy if I could get it?

Also Dan just released this:

This post was the first thing I heard about Crudrat. The FAQ doesn't say anything about a printed book release (the kickstarter page has it but the backing period is over). Will Crudrat be released in print at any time in the future?

https://gailcarriger.com/books/audiobooks "Crudrat was printed as a limited run, numbered, special edition, signed, hard cover book. This was aviable only to specific kickstarter backers as a reward. It is not for sale to the general public. Currently, Gail has no plans to produce this book in print for purchase."
Sorry, but I could not have promoted the Kickstarter harder (I hope) It was on every venue of social media that I'm on, and I posted several times during the kickstarter to this blog. I don't know what else I could have possibly done to make people aware of it.

Sorry if my questions sounded somehow critical. It is my own fault for not visiting your website more often.
I really loved your previous books and was just currious if you were going to release this one like all your others at a later time. I've seen some kickstarter projects do so (e.g. Ministry Protocol which later became available via Amazon).
So that's why I asked, no criticism intended.

Oh, no sorry. I didn't mean to be sharp, you're like the 10th person to ask after I posted that photo. I just feel like a failure if people who wanted it didn't get chance to get it, that's all. And I'm stressed out of my mind right now.

To not miss such an opportunity again I'm going to follow you on Facebook. Which I would have done much earlier if I'd known you were there. Much better than have a look every few month at your homepage to update the pre-order list on my blog. You mentioning social media in your reply made me search for the links to Facebook on your homepage and I have to admit finding them took me some time. I don't know if I'm the only one who missed them until now.
