My Dear Gentle Reader! I shall be swanning about my very own beautiful neck of the woods this weekend at the Bay Area Book Festival.

Author Alex White and self taking the obligatory rooftop gala selfie.
I will be in Berkeley, CA on Sunday, June 5, 1:30~2:45 pm to do a panel entitled The Evolution from Bodice Rippers to Trailblazers: Feminism through Romance. My RWA chapter pulled me in to do this which is pretty flipping fantastic of them. Yeah RWA.
My fellow panelists include:
- Kristin Miller author of The Werewolf Wears Prada (San Francisco Wolf Pack)
- Beth Barany author of Henrietta The Dragon Slayer
- Alice Gaines author of Miss Foster’s Folly
- Aya de Leon book soon to come
Sessions are free, but you can buy a ticket ahead of time for $5 if you want guaranteed seating and no line.
Then I will be signing after. I’ll have special Poison or Protect bookmarks to give away, while supplies last.

Tonight I will also be at the Gala with my dear friend Alex White dressed in cocktail attire and being all fancy-like. I believe the Gala is for sponsors and authors only, but if you are one of the two and planning to be there, I demand you come and introduce yourself!
