Romancing the Inventor Ketchup (Supernatural Society Video)

Romancing the Inventor has now been out 10 days, Gentle Reader. I cannot thank you enough for all your love and support. Particularly those who took the time to review and to comment and let me know that you enjoyed it. It really does mean a lot. And I notice, I do.

You know what? This book has be really fun from start to launch. And I don’t say that about most book launches!

Facebook Live Meets Spoilers

I did some Facebook Lives yesterday (a longer Q&A and a shorter spoilerific) that I hope some of you managed to watch. OK I know some of you managed it, because you were there, and I love you. The spoilerific one on the Squee Group will be deleted at the end of day 11/7/2016. I’m not comfortable leaving it up there for posterity. In the future, I’ll not even bother to upload those ones for replay. They will be a catch it only when live kind-of-deal. Since I didn’t warn you this time, that’s not fair, but going forward you have been warned.

Travel

Tomorrow I leave for Singapore. I have blog posts scheduled to drop for while I am away but I’m not sure how much I, personally, will be online. So don’t drink all the tea while I’m gone.

Lilliput Suitcase, Gail Carriger Travel

I’ve an 18 hour flight: 4 magazines (Marie Claire, Vanity Fair, RWR, Locus), notes for a class I’m teaching to review, hundreds of books to read, dozens of podcasts to listen to, and 4 possible projects to work on (first pass on SAS novel, RTW novella outline, CP3 novel outline, some possible shorts). I even banked a few movies. I know, look at me getting caught up on pop culture. Not to mention the fact that I intend to try to sleep at least 6-8 of those hours. In case you wondered, I don’t mind long plane rides!

Being original and creative on a plane can be hard for me, so I’ll likely do the first read of SAS (which I was going to hold of on, but a review of next year’s production schedule means I need to move quicker than I thought), as that’s less brain power. But I wanted to bring options, just in case.

Gail Carriger On The Go Set Up: iPad Mini, blue tooth keyboard, scrivener iOS

This will be the first heavy test of my remote writing set up using Scrivener for iOS, my tiny bluetooth keyboard, and my iPad mini. I’m hoping it goes as well as it did on tour last July.

For those of you doing NaNoWriMo, very best of luck. And to all of you have a wonderful few weeks and I’ll chat with you when I get back.

{Gail’s monthly read along for November is Romancing the Inventor by Gail Carriger. Oh don’t look so shocked.}

    I won’t drink all the tea, but I might eat all the arrowroot biscuits.

    Gail,

    Would you by any chance reconsider your decision not to upload spoilerific Facebook Live chats in the future? It was fantastic and I like knowing what you are thinking for the future. However, my schedule is crazy so I can’t count on being able to sit down at the exact time of the event. In fact I caught the last one 2 hours after it posted and was overjoyed that I did. Maybe you could plan a 24 hour window in the future for those of us with less-than-flexible schedules?

      Maybe. This time is not flexible because I need to leave for Singapore. But I’ll think about it.

    Dear, dear, dear, ‘Romancing’ was so delightful! Very, very romantic (I’m straight cis-male) I just wanted to hug them both. Applause, bows and a tip of the top hat. I pine for the delay in viewing the next,…anything…! Have you considered Helsinki 2017?

      Thank you for your kind words, nice to know the book suits all sorts! Sadly I will not be able to make Helsinki.
