Hardcovers of the Finishing School Books Going Out of Print

Quick announcement for you today, Gentle Reader. Finishing School hardcover editions likely soon to be out of print. Waistcoats & Weaponry has already got the axe.

Just the hardcovers, don’t panic.

My Chirrup subscribers have heard this already (and if you missed the window then why aren’t you getting the Chirrup? Hummm?) but it seems to be that the HARDCOVER USA editions of these books are being phased out. AKA rendered out of print.

Get them while you can! If you are a collector with a stickler for editions, or a librarian who wants to have these for posterity… Now is the time to get these editions before they go OP.

If you came across this blog post and you can’t find them anymore, I am sorry but you have missed your window. However, I will likely give away what few I have left to my Chirrup subscribers.

Don’t worry the trade paperback and ebook remain!

Your Questions Answered!

There is only one size of the hardcover Finishing School books. Only the first 2 (or possibly just E&E) were embossed.

There are 2 English language sizes of the paperback, both trade.

The American trade paperback is closer in size to (and has the same internal lay out as) the hardcover. It’s anglicized except for the word ladybug.

The U.K. trade size is slightly smaller, called B-format, it’s almost but not quite 8×5, or basically the same as all my novellas and San Andreas Shifter books. It uses the word ladybird.

Read more about the range in trade paperbacks.

I have a blog post on subject of the range in trade paperback sizes and the switch from mass market to trade in the Parasol Protectorate series.

Praise for Waistcoats & Weaponry

Freedom Library says:

“This book is my favorite because the plot is entertaining, action packed and intense…. The characters are much more mature and they take care of each other.”

The Gin Book Club says:

“It felt as though this book was the climax to which the previous two books have been building. I loved the plot, and it was satisfying to feel the threads of the story and character backgrounds finally coming together.”

My Chirrup members found out about this last weekend, because I love them bestest. Sign up here.
